Kazon Armored Shuttle

The Kazon Armored Shuttle is used to transport a small raiding party; the Kazon lack the transporter technology used by more advanced races, and the vessel is a means by which they gain quick access to enemy ships. Dartlike in appearance, the Armored Shuttle's front section is encased in a reinforced armor that narrows to a sharp point. The armor, made of a grayish material, appears to rest on top of a more yellowish-brown surface that can be seen through slots across the hull. The fore section of the Armored Shuttle consists of eight metallic bands that radiate from mid-vessel to the point, forming a star shape when viewed head on. Located directly behind the outer edge of the armor, on the bow of the vessel, is a square hatch with a crossweaved pattern on the top section. This hatch is the access door used to exit the Armored Shuttle once it has reached its destination. There is another circular hatch on the bottom of the vessel. The lower hatch is heavily fortified and protected by an outer edge of riveted armor plating. The outer ridges of the bow armor plating have two distinctive edges that are hook-like in appearance, a feature that possibly makes it harder to extract the vessel once it has implanted itself into the side of a starship. The armor extends more then halfway along the length of the small vessel. There are two engine-like nacelles located top stern and two more behind the port and starboard wing stubs; these glow red when the ship's engines are engaged. The only running lights visible on the Armored Shuttle are seen on the sides of the vessel; they are small lights set inside an indentation. The underside features one long line of a concentration of exposed piping and mechanics. The underside of the swept-back stub wings is another area where the interior workings can be observed. Small green panels dot areas of the vessel. The Armored Shuttle is capable of pinpoint accuracy, but it must be piloted with care. In order to attack a vessel, the Armored ShuttIe approaches fast from behind the Kazon Raider. It overflies the larger ship, and takes a course that follows the path of the Raider's weapons fire. The success of the Armored Shuttle is dependent on the ability of the Kazon Raider to create a large enough hole in the starship's shields; this is accomplished through matching Kazon weapon frequencies to whatever shield frequency the defender is using. These vital command codes must be reconnoitered before attempting the mission. The first hit may make a small dent in the victim's shields; constant bombardment can open it 'vide enough for the Armored Shuttle to enter. Once through the shields, the Armored Shuttle will then collide with and penetrate the ship's huII. The Kazon must place their small, four person raiding party in an area where they can escape safely into the interior of the starship. Once the hulI is breached, the raiding party exits via the square hatch in the bow of the shuttle. Working their way through the debris caused by their penetrating attack, they escape into the starship.
